
Michael Winner's One Man Show

Michael Winner’s one-man show started in 1967 as a lecture at the National Film Theatre. It has been refined and added to over the years. It has been performed at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles and Washington, at Oxford, Cambridge and other major universities. At the Edinburgh Festival presented by the British Film Institute and the Scotsman newspaper, also at theatres throughout the United Kingdom and recently at the American Cinematheque 3-day tribute to honour Michael Winner and his films in Los Angeles. Six of his movies were shown on consecutive evenings and Michael gave his full show the first day and appeared between movies on the other two. The one and a half hour show includes, during the event, questions from the audience who become very much a part of the evening. The show has been seen by Burt Lancaster, Francis Ford Coppola, John Landis, Michael Crawford, Oliver Reed and many other stars and movie directors.
