Stephen (Ryan Gosling) is a wunderkind press secretary who has built a career that men twice his age would envy. During a tight presidential primary race, however, Stephen's meteoric rise falls prey to the backroom politics of more seasoned operatives, and his one night stand with a teenage staffer proves to be more complicated than casual.

The all star cast includes George Clooney (Governer Mike Morris), Philip Seymour Hoffman (Paul Zara), Paul Giamatti (Tom Duffy), Evan Rachel Wood (Molly Stearns) and Marisa Tomei (Ida Horowic). This film, selected to open the Venice film Festival has Oscar and Golden globe predictions all over it and is an eagerly awaited film to close our Autumn Season.
