Stephen Chow follows up the phenomenally successful Shaolin Soccer & Kung Fu Hustle with this heart-warming family tale about an underprivileged by & his pet from outer space. Dicky Chow lives with his father, a poor labourer, in a run down squat. Whatever he lacks financially, Mr Chow more than makes up for in principles, leading an honest, upstanding life. Dicky’s world is turned upside down when a space alien takes a shine to him & shares its magical powers. Whether it is achieving academic success or standing up to the wealthy children who bully Dicky, CJ7 seems to have come to the rescue. Sadly, not everything is as straightforward as it may seem & there are some valuable life lessons to be learnt. The subtitles may be a barrier for very young children but they can still enjoy the tremendous slapstick fun & the impressive visual effects of Dicky trying out his newfound special powers!
