Jean Simmons last film is set in the late 1960s, a poignant story of how a mysterious loner changes the lives of one family.

Set in a remote house on the East Anglian coast in the 1960 s, Hannah lives a perfectly happy life with her poetry, garden and much younger friend Joe (Jamie Dornan). When Hannah’s son, Robert (James Wilby) arrives with his teenage daughter and younger son he becomes shocked with his mothers intimacy with her young friend. Emotions and tensions between the group begin to surface and it might take a tragic incident to bring them together. Tensions quickly surface as they each struggle to define their roles within the family. Writer/director David Rocksavage has produced this unique drama that explores the complexities of family relationships. This excellent film is a fitting tribute to a superb actress who lost none of her artistry even in her later years playing very exacting roles with great sensitivity even at 79!
